Deputy Minister Le Xuan Dinh emphasized that each field of cooperation must clearly identify partners, contents, specific tasks, and tangible outputs. Research results should have practical application capability, directly contributing to solving real-world socio-economic issues.
According to Deputy Minister Le Xuan Dinh, strategic technology research and development (R&D) cooperation between Viet Nam and Russia in 2026 focuses on three key pillars, including strengthening connections between research institutes, universities, R&D organizations, and management agencies; training high-quality human resources linked to development demands and technology mastery; and bringing Russian technology into application in Viet Nam.
This cooperative orientation is expected to build additional capacity for enterprises and promote the development of new products serving the public.
Deputy Ambassador Ivan Sergeevich Nesterov affirmed that Viet Nam is a key partner of Russia, expressing hope that both nations will continue expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly science, technology, education, and energy.
The Ministry of Science and Technology plans to coordinate with the Russian side to organize the Viet Nam–Russian Federation Strategic Technology Research and Development Cooperation Forum 2026 in Russia, on the occasion of an upcoming visit by key Vietnamese leaders.
The forum is expected to serve as a highlight in the series of activities celebrating the Viet Nam–Russian Federation Cross Year of Science and Education./.
