Under the license, Amazon Kuiper Viet Nam is authorized to establish a private satellite-based telecommunications network to test and assess the operation of customer terminal equipment, thereby evaluating the quality of products manufactured in Viet Nam.
The private telecommunications network will be established by connecting the satellite system with ground infrastructure in Viet Nam to serve testing and quality assurance activities for terminal devices. Operating nationwide, the network must fully comply with Viet Nam's legal regulations regarding telecommunications, radio frequency, technical standards, service quality, as well as information safety and security.

Established in 2024, Amazon Kuiper Viet Nam serves as Amazon's legal entity in Viet Nam in the field of satellite connectivity. Amazon Leo, formerly known as Project Kuiper, is a broadband network utilizing more than 3,000 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, aiming to deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity to areas underserved by traditional infrastructure.
The issuance of this license creates a foundation for Amazon to test devices manufactured in Viet Nam, contributing to the promotion of high-tech industries, the expansion of supply chains, and the strengthening of cooperation in developing next-generation connectivity infrastructure./
