Intel Expands Cooperation in Semiconductor Industry Development in Viet Nam
<p style="text-align: justify;">At a working session with Intel Corporation on 8 May 2026, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of Viet Nam Bui Hoang Phuong affirmed that the Ministry will continue to support Intel and enterprises in the supply chain in expanding high-tech investment in Viet Nam. This cooperation is expected to contribute to positioning Viet Nam as an important link in the global semiconductor value chain.</p>

An overview of the working session.
During the meeting, Intel shared its new strategic orientations in Viet Nam, including plans to expand investment, support workforce training, and contribute to the development of the semiconductor ecosystem.
The Ministry of Science and Technology of Viet Nam highly valued the contributions of Intel to the electronics and semiconductor sectors. Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said the Ministry will continue to create favourable conditions for Intel and related enterprises to strengthen high-tech activities in Viet Nam.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong proposed five priority areas of cooperation with Intel:
(1) expanding investment, research and production activities in Viet Nam
(2) providing advisory support for the national centre for semiconductor chip pilot production
(3) cooperating in the development of the first semiconductor chip manufacturing plant in Viet Nam
(4) strengthening semiconductor workforce training
(5) developing the semiconductor industry ecosystem in Viet Nam.
Both sides expressed their commitment to deeper cooperation in the next stage of development, with the shared goal of making Viet Nam a key link in the global semiconductor value chain.
