Conference discusses the development of industrial internet
The Viet Nam Internet Network Information Centre (VNNIC) is hosting the VNNIC Internet Conference (VIC) 2025 in Ha Noi under the theme “Breakthrough Era with the Development of Industrial Internet”.

Taking place from July 22 to 25, the event brought together more than 400 delegates, including senior officials, leading internet experts, and technology engineers from Viet Nam and abroad.
Speaking at the plenary session, held on July 25 under the topic ‘Vision and Strategy for the Industrial Internet – Core Infrastructure for Modern Manufacturing’, Deputy Director of VNNIC Nguyen Truong Giang emphasised that industrial internet is not only a trend but also a core foundation for innovating growth models, modernising production, and developing smart cities, smart transport, smart healthcare, and more.
Given this, the Industrial Internet demands networks that are larger, faster, smarter, and more secure, he stated, adding that a strong, open, and reliable internet infrastructure is a prerequisite for developing a self-reliant, innovative Vietnamese industrial internet with global connectivity.
The VNNIC Internet Conference 2025 provided an opportunity to share visions, strategies for industrial internet, practical experiences, technical solutions, technological trends, and most importantly cooperation and development opportunities in building and managing digital infrastructure.
Delegates agreed that, in the context of the rapid progression of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the industrial internet (IIoT) represents the next stage of internet development, driving the global wave of digital transformation by connecting robots, sensors, and big data into intelligent production chains, thereby creating immense potential for industrial and economic growth.
According to forecasts by The Business Research Company, the global IIoT market is expected to reach 280 billion USD by 2025 and grow further to 480 billion USD by 2029. This represents not only a significant opportunity but also an inevitable revolution in the journey towards building a digital economy./.
