Highly appreciating Viet Nam's long-term vision and technology strategy, Mr. Maroun Kairouz noted that Viet Nam holds a major opportunity to enter the world's top 20 largest economies thanks to its technological agility. The WEF Executive Director expressed the desire to support Viet Nam in promoting AI applications within the industrial sector.

Sharing insights into Viet Nam's current landscape, Minister Vu Hai Quan highlighted three challenges that also present significant opportunities: talent attraction, interconnected data, and hardware infrastructure (GPU) optimization. The Minister proposed that the WEF strengthen cooperation in the following areas: connecting expert networks to support Viet Nam's AI ecosystem development; enhancing digital transformation capacity for small and medium-sized enterprises; and partnering with Viet Nam to successfully organize events for the APEC 2027.

At the conclusion of the working session, both sides agreed to soon finalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the WEF and the Government of Viet Nam. This will serve as a solid coordination framework to realize commitments, creating leverage to propel Viet Nam's digital economy forward in the coming period./.
