The Department of Science and Technology is a ministerial unit which performs the advisory and regulatory functions over the science and technology, quality measurement and standards and environmental protection in the field of Information and Communications.
The Department of Science and Technology has its tasks and powers according to Decision 1305/QD-BTTTT dated 12 September 2014 of the Minister of Information and Communications prescribing the functions, duties, powers and organizational structure of the Department of Science and Technology.
